Financial planning in Pune: goals, retirement and cash flow

One structured plan that ties together your goals, income, investments and cover, with a clear asset allocation and the monthly numbers to hit each goal.

For anyone who wants the whole picture in one place rather than a set of disconnected products.

Most people do not have a money problem so much as a “nobody ever mapped it out” problem. They have two or three SIPs, an insurance policy or two, a home loan, and no clear line from where they are today to the life they are working towards.

Financial planning is that map. We start with your goals and your cash flow, set an emergency fund and the right protection first, then build an asset allocation across equity and debt that fits each goal’s time horizon. Every goal, retirement, a child’s education, a home, gets inflated to its future cost, a target corpus, and a monthly SIP figure.

The output is one written plan you can act on and a review once a year. It is deliberately simple: an adequate term cover, a health policy, a cash buffer, and a small set of well-run funds bought through a step-up SIP. The plan is not a forecast, it is a set of decisions and the numbers behind them.

A plan is worth building when your income has grown past your system for managing it, when you have competing goals and cannot tell what to fund first, or when you simply want a second set of eyes on whether you are on track. It is not a one-time exercise; life changes are the trigger to revisit it.

What working with us covers

Goal-based planning
Retirement, child education and marriage, a home, a vehicle: each with a future cost, a target corpus and a monthly figure.
Retirement corpus and drawdown plan
How much you need to retire at your chosen age, and how to convert it into an inflation-adjusted income after.
Child education and marriage funding
Today’s cost projected to when you will need it, with the SIP or lumpsum to fund it and a glide path to de-risk near the date.
Cash flow and emergency-fund planning
A clear picture of income, spending and surplus, and a three-to-six-month buffer sized to your situation.
Protection review
Term life and health cover checked against your plan, so a shock does not force you to sell investments.
Tax-efficient structuring
Using 80C, 80D, NPS and the right account types so more of the return stays with you, coordinated with your CA.
Asset allocation
A target split across equity, debt and gold for each goal, and rules for when to rebalance.
Annual financial health check-up
A yearly review of progress against the plan, with small adjustments rather than a fresh start.

How a plan comes together

  1. 01

Map income, expenses, existing investments, loans and insurance into one picture, so we are working from facts, not estimates.

  2. 02

Set the emergency fund and close any protection gaps first, before a rupee goes towards a long-term goal.

  3. 03

Inflate each goal to its future cost, set a target corpus, and assign an asset allocation matched to its time horizon.

  4. 04

Convert each goal into a monthly SIP figure, with a step-up so the amounts stay realistic as your income grows.

  5. 05

Review once a year, or whenever your income, family or goals change materially, and adjust rather than rebuild.

What a plan changes

A financial plan does not make markets behave. It makes your decisions consistent, which is where most of the value is.

You know what to fund first

With competing goals and a finite surplus, a plan tells you the order: buffer and protection, then the goals closest in time, then the long-run ones.

Each goal has a number

A vague “save more” becomes “₹X a month for retirement, ₹Y for the education fund”. Numbers you can check make it far easier to stay on track.

Shocks do not derail you

An emergency fund and the right cover mean a job loss or a hospitalisation is absorbed by the plan rather than paid for by selling investments at the wrong time.

You stop buying products piecemeal

A plan replaces the habit of adding a policy or a fund whenever someone recommends one, with a small set of decisions that fit together.

Who a plan helps

Your income has outgrown your system

You earn well but manage it with a few SIPs and a mental note, and want a proper structure.

You have competing goals

Retirement, a house, a child’s education, all at once, and you cannot tell what to prioritise.

You are within ten years of a big goal

Retirement or a child’s higher education is close enough that the allocation and the glide path now matter a lot.

You want an independent second opinion

You think you are on track but want someone with no product to sell to confirm it or flag the gaps.

Questions people ask about financial planning

What does a financial plan actually give me?
A written document: your goals with future costs and target corpuses, a monthly investment figure per goal, an asset allocation, a protection and emergency-fund check, and a tax view. Plus a yearly review to keep it current.
How do commercial terms work for financial planning?
Scope, deliverables and engagement terms for a written plan are discussed and decided in conversation before any planning work begins, never published on this website.
Is financial planning a one-time exercise or ongoing?
The plan is built once and then reviewed yearly. Life changes, a new job, a child, a house, are the trigger to revisit it, not a reason to start over.
Can you work with my existing CA and investments?
Yes. A plan works around what you already have. We coordinate with your CA on the tax side and map your current holdings into the allocation rather than asking you to sell everything.
How is this different from a distributor just selling me funds?
A plan starts with your goals and cash flow and decides what you need before any product is chosen. Protection and the emergency fund come first. Funds are the last step, not the first.
How much money do I need before a plan is worth it?
There is no minimum. A plan is most useful when you have a regular surplus to allocate and more than one goal to fund. That can be true at any income level.
Will you manage my money for me?
We help you set up and run the plan: the SIPs, the cover, the reviews. The investments stay in your own name and folios, and you can see and control them any time. We do not take custody or discretion over your money.
What do you need from me to start?
A picture of your income and expenses, a list of your investments and loans, your insurance policies, and your goals with rough timelines. The first conversation sets the scope; engagement details are discussed personally before work begins.
