Mutual fund scheme insights from real NAV data
Pick any AMFI-listed scheme and open its dossier: latest NAV, trailing returns across standard periods, and a chart of published NAV history. No assumed rates, and no invented AUM or expense figures.
Trailing returns as of the latest published NAV. Under 1 year would show absolute return; all periods here are annualised (CAGR). Past performance does not guarantee future returns.

Latest NAV, trailing returns across standard periods, and a chart of published NAV history. No assumed rates.
Past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Figures use published AMFI NAVs, exclude exit load and capital-gains tax, and are for education only - not investment advice.
How this is calculated
We load the scheme’s full published NAV series from AMFI. The latest point is today’s NAV. For each lookback window we find the first NAV on or after the target date, then compute the change to the latest NAV. Short windows report absolute return; windows of a year or longer report CAGR. Since inception uses the earliest published NAV.
The exact formula
start NAV = first NAV on/after lookback date
absolute % = (latest NAV − start NAV) ÷ start NAV
CAGR = (latest NAV ÷ start NAV)^(1 ÷ years) − 1
(used when the window is ≥ 1 year)What we cannot show. AUM, expense ratio, portfolio holdings, riskometer and category-benchmark comparisons need data sources beyond the AMFI NAV feed. We leave those out rather than guess.
Results reflect what already happened to this scheme. They are not a promise about what it, or any fund, will return in future. Figures exclude exit load and tax on capital gains.
Frequently asked questions
- What does Scheme Insights show?
- For a scheme you pick: name and fund house from AMFI, the latest published NAV and date, trailing returns for 1 day, 1 week, 1/3/6 months, 1/3/5 years and since inception, plus a chart of sampled NAV history.
- Where does the data come from?
- From AMFI (the Association of Mutual Funds in India), via the public mfapi.in mirror of AMFI NAV files. We do not scrape any distributor site and we do not invent AUM or expense ratios.
- Why is there no AUM, expense ratio or category benchmark?
- Those figures are not in the AMFI daily NAV feed that mfapi exposes. Showing invented numbers would be misleading, so we only show what we can compute honestly from historical NAVs.
- What do the heuristic category chips mean?
- They are best-effort labels inferred from the scheme name (and AMFI category text when present). They are not SEBI’s official classification and can be wrong for niche or renamed funds.
- How are period returns calculated?
- Each period finds the NAV on or after the lookback date, then measures change to the latest NAV. Windows under one year show absolute return; windows of a year or more show CAGR. A period the fund has not lived through yet is shown as NA.
